Uni brief:
Create a response showing the meaning or history of a piece of personal jewellery. This was right up my street as everyone gets passionate if it's something personal

Jewellery:
Silver daisy ring

Meaning behind response:
A ring that both me and my mum have, sort of like friendship rings. A few years ago my Nanna passed away and my Dad left us at the same painful time and it felt like our family completely disappeared suddenly. With what felt like only each other and my mums finger feeling empty from wearing the same rings for 20 odd years we both share the same daisy rings, a chain of daisys bonded together just like we have.

Video representation:
The tree of course symbolises a family tree, with the leaves falling off and disappearing quickly. The 4 leaves left on the tree symbolise me, my mum, brother and grandad left. The rain being the sad/emotion. The daisies growing from where the leaves and rain has falling (showing how we've grown from it) growing and circulating together to form the ring.

I wanted the video to be metaphorical so it's not too harsh and forced upon to the audience, a poignant, emotional atmosphere.
